Simon Mügge has been working in the field of intellectual property for more than 10 years and supports the Life Science team, especially in preparing and conducting complex opposition and appeal proceedings in the areas of pharma and biotechnology.

In his undergraduate studies, he majored in biochemistry at the University of Bielefeld. During that time, he received a scholarship for a six-month internship at the University of Notre Dame, USA. In 2004, he graduated with distinction in biochemistry. In 2007, he was awarded a doctorate degree from the University of Bielefeld for his scientific work in the field of immunology.

He then began his training as a patent attorney and joined WUESTHOFF & WUESTHOFF in 2010. Dr. Mügge is admitted to practice as a German Patent Attorney since 2011 and as a European Patent Attorney since 2012. At the end of 2019, he moved to Finland to join Kolster Oy for family reasons, and continues to support the Life Science team in selected projects.
