Intellectual property rights | Intellectual property rights serve the protection of intellectual property and refer to the protection of an industrially exploitable service and the protection of commercial trademarks. Intellectual property rights include trademarks, designs, patents, utility models, plant variety rights, and semiconductor protection. Copyright law is also in part included in the intellectual property rights. The intellectual property rights are designed as absolute rights and therefore enjoy the protection of property under Article 14 of the German Constitution. |
